What is #cacaucoH2O?

#cacaucoH2O is a blog and social media campaign organized by the Cacauco Forum to share information and data about water in Cacauco and the conditions of stand-pipes.

Each week reporters from the municipality share stories about Cacuaco residents. Cacuaco residents are invited to participate through comments to the blog and using the twitter hash-tag #cacuacoH2O.

Join a community organization

Lend support to one of Cacuaco's many local community organizations. They are doing everything from training young people skills, teaching children to read and write, raising awareness about gender and health issues like HIV/ AIDS, and publishing local newspapers. Support your community by finding a group and volunteering to give them support.

The Cacuaco Forum is an association of all the civil society groups in Cacuaco and meets regularly with municipal government to discuss community needs. You can contact the Forum by writing here.

Speak to your local government official

Contributions and concerns can be brought to the Municipal Government and citizens can interact with officials. Speak to a Cacuaco Forum member about how to contact your local government official.
